Reuse. Is it really time for a new pair of jeans? The lifespan of clothing can often be significantly increased with the occasional bit of mending, saving you considerable money down the road! Outgrown the clothing or changed your style? Consider giving the clothing away to friends, family, or a thrift shop that will put the proceeds to a good cause.
Recycle. Cans and bottles often require a deposit to be-be made at the store, which may or may not be noticeable on your bill. Collecting and recycling your empties is the best way to put that money right back in your pocket! Larger metal items can also be taken to scrap yards and occasionally fetch a pretty penny, and these habits will have you recycling lots of other materials before you know it!
